Join our Tumor Registrar team and receive up to a $2,500 sign on bonus and have the ability to work remotely.
Identifies all cases of cancer for accession into the Tumor Registry, following requirements of Commission on Cancer, Pennsylvania Cancer Registry and Cancer Committee and performs annual follow up of all living cases. After orientation period, ability to work on site at either Allentown or Bethlehem locations and ability to work half the week offsite.
Must have Tumor Registry Certification. Prior experience in ICD-O coding and using cancer related staging systems. Certification is mandatory. Knowledge of tumor registry theory and operations acquired by obtaining certification (CTR/ART). Certification is mandatory but may be acquired within three years of date of hire. Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and, pathophysiology acquired through formal education or work experience so that records can be analyzed and data abstracted accurately.
Associates degree in health related field. Certified Tumor Registrar with two plus years experience in a hospital based tumor registry.
High School graduate with specialized training in Tumor Registry abstracting.
