Senior Cancer Registrar – Fox Chase Cancer Center
The senior cancer registrar identifies reportable cancer cases by referencing primary and secondary sources of information from multiple databases and abstracts required data elements according to governing parties’ rules and regulations. The senior cancer registrar codes and classifies all morphologies and sites as well as assigns AJCC staging for each case in accordance with current CoC, AJCC and SEER guidelines. The senior registrar will also assist with quality management of the registry data and end-of-year closeout of reportable cases.
5 years experience in Cancer Registry (Required)
CTR – Certified Tumor Registrar (Required)
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Associates Degree: Health Information or Cancer Information Management (Preferred)
Bachelors Degree : Health Information Management or Information Technology (Preferred)
Non Degree Program: Cancer Information Management (Preferred)
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
