Office: President-Elect
Position
Statement: As president-elect, I will work with the current board to continue their
objectives. As your President, I would continue the traditions of the past while
looking to the future: Working to establish more on line services; Encouraging
members to continue their education; and Finding opportunities to promote the
Cancer Registry profession. As professionals in the Cancer Registry field, we
must respect and present ourselves as the experts in the cancer data collection
industry. This expertise is vital to the continued growth of our cancer
programs. We must be extremely proud of our contributions. I have previously
served on the executive committee and will work to promote the values of PACR if
elected.

Position Statement: If elected to the office of
President-Elect I would
work closely with the Executive Committee to continue taking PACR in positive
directions. As President, I would work diligently to expand the website that was developed
during my previous term as President in 2007. I would like to see the implementation of
online voting, online payment and registration for the annual meeting, and online
payment of dues. The introduction of web conferencing for Executive Board Meetings is a
concept that would cut down on costs and save the organization some dollars, as well as
soliciting more Corporate Sponsorship for the website and turning profits back into
Education. Most importantly, I would promote education both for the new registrar and the seasoned registrar. All of this while building positive relationships with
other organizations.
